On the afternoon of March 27, 2026, on the occasion of participating in the 2026 Paris Arbitration Week, the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC)  and Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in France (CCIFC)  jointly held the Forum for Chinese Enterprises in Paris with great success. Wang Chengjie, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of CIETAC, led a delegation to attend the event and delivered a keynote speech. Yu Bin, Vice President of the Paris Branch of the Export-Import Bank of China , delivered a welcome address. Li Wenguo, Deputy Representative of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT)  in France and Secretary-General of CCIFC, presided over the forum. More than 20 responsible persons from Chinese enterprises operating in France, from typical industries including banking and finance, information and communications, automobile manufacturing, general manufacturing and legal consulting, participated in the forum both online and in-person, and conducted in-depth exchanges with the CIETAC delegation.

Vice President Yu Bin extended a warm welcome to the delegation and expressed sincere gratitude to CIETAC for holding this forum in France. He stated that as an experienced and internationally leading arbitration institution, CIETAC had delivered practical and highly tailored content at this event, and provided professional and feasible opinions and suggestions for Chinese enterprises operating in France, which strongly supported these enterprises in better conducting cross-border commercial activities.

Combined with CIETAC’s arbitration practice, Secretary-General Wang Chengjie conducted an in-depth analysis and introduced to the participants the various risks Chinese enterprises may face throughout the entire process of overseas operation, from contract conclusion and performance to dispute resolution. He emphasized that Chinese enterprises must attach great importance to risk prevention, and centering on the core arbitration principle of "party autonomy", put forward targeted opinions and suggestions on the formulation of arbitration clauses from the aspects of institution selection, arbitrator appointment and legal application,, which helped enterprises formulate favorable and effective arbitration clauses for the protection of their legitimate rights and interests in the resolution of potential future disputes. Meanwhile, he also introduced the wide recognition of Chinese arbitration institutions represented by CIETAC in the international community in recent years, the global recognition and enforcement of their arbitration awards, as well as the various efforts made to build international credibility and the favorable conditions created for Chinese enterprises to choose domestic arbitration institutions. He expressed the expectation that CIETAC would play an important role in preventing overseas operational risks and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises.

During the exchange session, the CIETAC delegation provided in-depth and detailed answers to practical questions raised by enterprise representatives, including the design of dispute resolution clauses, the selection of seat of arbitration and arbitration language, the enforcement of cross-border arbitration awards, and the cost control of overseas arbitration. Enterprise representatives all stated that the exchange had played an important role in strengthening their awareness of risk prevention in overseas operations, improving their capabilities in compliant operation and risk response, and effectively resolving various disputes.
