In his speech, Wang Chengjie, Secretary General of CIETAC remarked that the domain name is the core logo of an enterprise on the Internet and an important carrier of the digital assets of the enterprise brand. Wang emphasized this conference’s focus on the best practices of enterprise digital brand protection and domain name dispute resolution, which is necessary to safeguard the trademark rights and interests of enterprises and promote the innovative development of companies. Secretary General Wang Chengjie pointed out that in the current era of a digital economy, companies need to establish a systematic brand protection program that "combines offensive and defensive strategies." Following up on the policy development of domain name registration and regulation and strengthening the monitoring of domain name infringement are effective means for enterprises to anticipate network risks and defend against network infringement. A comprehensive understanding of the domain name dispute resolution mechanism and effective use of emerging technology can help enterprises accurately combat domain name infringement and retrieve domain names that have been maliciously registered. As the founding organization and Beijing office of ADNDRC, CIETAC will continue to work closely with the other offices to improve the domain name dispute resolution mechanism, enrich the theory and practice of domain name dispute resolution, and jointly provide high-quality domain name dispute resolution services for global parties.
