On the afternoon of 11 October 2024, the 12th China Arbitration Week-Tianjin Intellectual Property Dispute Resolution Seminar was successfully held. This event was co-hosted by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Tianjin Sub-council (CCPIT Tianjin Sub-council), China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) Tianjin Sub-commission, Tianjin Intellectual Property Office and Tianjin Pilot Free Trade Zone Innovation Development Office. More than 100 people from Tianjin, including corporate counsels, lawyers, scholars, arbitrators and mediators, participated in the event.

In the keynote speech session, CIETAC arbitrator Zhan Hui delivered a speech under the topic of "Intellectual Property Arbitration: Opportunities and Challenges". Focusing on issues such as the design of intellectual property licensing contracts and the protection of trade secrets, Zhan Hui shared his unique views, basing on some specific cases, on how enterprises safeguard their intellectual property rights and interests, how arbitrators hear intellectual property dispute cases, and how arbitration institutions develop intellectual property arbitration.
