On April 15, 2025, Jin Xi, Deputy Secretary General of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) Hainan Arbitration Center, led a delegation to visit Haikou International Commercial Mediation Center. Liao Hui, Chairman  of Haikou International Commercial Mediation Center, and Tang Wenqi, former Secretary General of Haikou International Commercial Mediation Center, as representatives to welcome CIETAC Hainan Arbitration Center delegation. All directors of Haikou International Commercial Mediation Center had a symposium with CIETAC Hainan Arbitration Center delegation.

Jin Xi pointed out that as the earliest-established international arbitration institution in China, CIETAC has consistently maintained a leading position globally in terms of advanced arbitration rules, professionalism of arbitrators, and extensive arbitration practice experience. Since its establishment, CIETAC Hainan Arbitration Center has been supporting the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port  by providing more professional, efficient, and convenient dispute solutions to Hainan commercial participants. Arbitration and mediation are part of the legal service community, and CIETAC Hainan Arbitration Center signed a cooperation agreement with Haikou International Commercial Mediation Center in 2024. Hence, Jin Xi hoped that CIETAC Hainan Arbitration Center and Haikou International Commercial Mediation Center would further implement the cooperation agreement, establish a routine collaboration mechanism, and jointly contribute to making Hainan Free Trade Port a new hub for dispute resolution.

Liao Hui welcomed the delegation from CIETAC Hainan Arbitration Center again and highly appreciated CIETAC Hainan Arbitration Center’s achievements. He pointed out that the field operation of CIETAC in Hainan has profound significance for the construction of the rule of law in Hainan Free Trade Port. In the meanwhile, he said that Haikou International Commercial Mediation Center has extensive dispute-resolution experience in cross-border trade, investment, and other fields, featuring advantages of low cost and high efficiency. Besides, he also hoped to deepen cooperation with CIETAC Hainan Arbitration Center, leveraging their respective strengths to jointly enhance the diversified commercial dispute resolution system in Hainan Free Trade Port.

Both parties in this symposium agreed that with the further development of the Hainan Free Trade Port, efforts should be made to deepen the implementation of the cooperation agreement, strengthen resource sharing and business coordination, and explore broader opportunities for collaboration in the field of legal services.

On the morning of April 16, 2025, Jin Xi led a delegation to visit Hainan Realiser Law Firm and had a symposium with the firm’s partners and lawyers. Both sides briefed on their respective backgrounds and engaged in discussions on issues such as enforcement of awards, ascertainment of foreign laws , and investigation and collection of evidence.
