On the afternoon of April 19, 2025, Xie Changqing, Vice President of the Arbitration Court of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission ("CIETAC"), was invited to attend the "Legal Innovation Development Forum & 2025 Spring Release of Legal New Guide" hosted by Lexpress.  

The event was organized by Lexpress and co-hosted by China Justice Big Data Institute, Jianwei Law Firm, Dentons, JunHe, and Kejie Law Firm. Xie Changqing, Vice President of the Arbitration Court of CIETAC, attended the event by invitation and delivered the opening speech.

In her speech, Vice President Xie Changqing noted that in the context of global transformation, legal services must adapt to the diverse needs of global market players in this era of change. As an essential component of legal services, Chinese arbitration must continuously enhance its credibility and international influence, advancing China's goal of becoming an international arbitration hub and demonstrating new achievements in foreign-related rule of law development. Since its establishment in 1956, CIETAC has consistently aimed at building a world-class arbitration institution and driving innovation and development of Chinese arbitration. By maintaining advanced and attractive arbitration rules, promoting the practical integration of Chinese and Western arbitration systems, strengthening its internationalized arbitrator team, and leveraging new technologies to enhance arbitration quality and efficiency, CIETAC has earned the trust and support of global arbitration users. In 2024, CIETAC accepted over 6,000 new cases, including 758 foreign-related cases, highlighting its international prominence and ranking among the world's top arbitration institutions. Moving forward, CIETAC will continue to keep pace with the times, prioritize the needs of the parties, and innovate to provide extensive platforms for the legal services industry, jointly writing a new chapter for legal innovation and development.

The forum released the "Premium Legal Service Brands Guide" across five sectors by Lexpress and held an awards ceremony for law firms and lawyers specially recommended in the Guide. Vice President Xie Changqing was invited to present awards to law firms and lawyers recognized as "Brand Influence Law Firms" and "Brand Stars" in the construction and engineering sector for 2024.

During the forum, ten experts from construction and engineering, wealth management, capital markets, and other fields—including industry professionals, senior lawyers and in-house counsel—exchanged insights on cutting-edge trends, and discussed the current state, competitive landscape, and future of legal services under new circumstances, injecting fresh momentum and ideas into the high-quality development of legal industry. The event attracted approximately 200 participants, including lawyers, in-house counsel, business representatives, and scholars.
