On the afternoon of December 10th, 2024, the He Yuan Civil and Commercial Arbitration Talent Training Class visited the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC). Xie Changqing, Vice President of CIETAC Arbitration Court, and other representatives, hosted a delegation of trainees, engaged in a discussion, and exchanged with them.

Xie Changqing, Vice President of CIETAC Arbitration Court, warmly welcomed the training class at the beginning. She provided an overview of the history and development of CIETAC, particularly with the proactive efforts in areas such as the innovation and improvement of its arbitration rules, the development of its arbitrator pool, the construction of multi-dimentional dispute resolution services, the application of high-tech solutions to enhance arbitration, and its broad international exchanges and cooperation. Xie Changqing emphasized that, by looking forwardly, CIETAC would continuously embrace cooperation, to engage in areas such as business exchanges, research projects, and the promotion of the arbitration system, in order to jointly advance the prosperous development of the arbitration field.

The visiting delegation The He Yuan City Commercial and Civil Arbitration Talent Training Class included 39 staff members and arbitrators from the HEYUAN ARBITRATION COMMISSION. Lan Feng, Director of the He Yuan Arbitration Commission, introduced the recent development of the Commission. He expressed the hope to learn from CIETAC's advanced experiences in areas such as innovation in arbitration rules, case management, international arbitration practices, and the professional development of the arbitrator team.

During the discussion, the participants discussed and exchanged ideas on topics like the selection and supervision of international arbitrators, the integration of arbitration and litigation, the management and enhancement of case quality and efficiency, and the expansion of arbitration services. The training class participants expressed the gratitude towards the valuable insights they gained from the visit, and all felt the experience was worthwhile. Meanwhile, they were looking forward to more future opportunities and platforms to engage in CIETAC’s arbitration-related activities to improve their arbitration skills and promote the development of local arbitration.

 

 

Other CIETAC representatives, including Zhou Wen, Director of the Filing and Consultation Department; Wei Ziping, Director of the Supervision and Coordination Department; and Lu Fei, Director of the Business Development Department, participated in the exchange and discussion.
