On the afternoon of November 15th, 2017, the unveiling ceremony of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone Fuzhou Service Center was held in Fuzhou. Vice Chairman of CCPIT Lu Pengqi, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission and Arbitration Center Across the Straits Wang Chengjie, Chairman of Fujian CCPIT Chen Zhen, Vice Director-General of Fujian Intellectual Property Office Huang Ping, Deputy Mayor of Fuzhou City Hang Dong attended the unveiling ceremony.

Vice Chairman Lu Pengqi pointed out that, CCPIT was established in 1952 and is a national foreign trade and investment promotion agency. In order to further participate in the major national development strategy of building pilot free trade zones, adapt to the new trend of economic globalization, and implement the overall plan issued by the State Council on pilot free trade zones and accomplish the tasks assigned at the inter-ministerial joint meeting of the State Council on pilot free trade zones, CCPIT will take full advantage of its extensive channels for contact with domestic and international business communities, plenty of trade and investment promotion platforms and strong abilities in commercial law services, actively extend its resources to the pilot free trade zones, cooperate with all relevant sides to provide a full range of services for enterprises in the free trade zone, and help with the enterprises’ internationalization.

He said that, the establishment of a comprehensive service agency in Fuzhou by CCPIT, i.e. CCPIT (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone Fuzhou Service Center, marked another firm step taken by CCPIT in implementing the national free trade zone strategy. The establishment of this service center will make full use of CCPIT's professional advantages in trade and investment promotion and commercial law services. CCPIT will cooperate with Fujian to promote foreign trade and investment, conduct international exchanges and cooperation and provide foreign-related commercial law services, and facilitate the "going global" of the enterprises in the Fujian Pilot Free Trade Zone.

Deputy Mayor Hang Dong pointed out that, since its establishment in April 2015, the Fuzhou Fujian Pilot Free Trade Zone has focused on both sides of the Strait, served the whole nation and faced the world. It has created a "Fuzhou model" and "Fuzhou Speed" and presented “Fuzhou Demeanor”. He stated that, the establishment of a comprehensive service agency in Fuzhou Pilot Free Trade Zone by CCPIT is of great significance to the development of Fuzhou Pilot Free Trade Zone and will further optimize its business environment, making it more internationalized, legalized and marketized. It will also safeguard Fuzhou’s development of an open economy, the establishment of the free trade zone and the "bringing in" and "going global" of the enterprises in the free trade zone.

After the unveiling ceremony, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of Arbitration Center Across the Straits Wang Chengjie and Vice Director-General of Fujian Intellectual Property Office Huang Ping jointly signed the Opinions on the Implementation of Jointly Building A Work Mechanism on Alternative Resolution of Intellectual Property Disputes. Both sides decided to make full use of their respective advantages in dealing with intellectual property disputes and jointly establish an alternative resolution of intellectual property disputes with the combination of arbitration and mediation, so as to quickly, efficiently and professionally resolve intellectual property disputes, create an internationalized, legalized and marketized business environment for Fuzhou Pilot Free Trade Zone, and promote the deep integration of intellectual property and economy.

In the future, CCPIT will conscientiously implement the spirit of the 19th PCPC Congress, thoroughly implement the national strategy of pilot free trade zones, pioneer and innovate, act positively, and constantly explore the new method, new content and new model of CCPIT system’s deep participation in the construction of pilot free trade zones and the facilitation of local reform and opening up.
