On November 12th, the 5th Typical Case News Conference of "the Belt and Road Initiative" legal service was held in Beijing, which was hosted by Legal Daily  and organized by Legal Daily Network and Legal Newspaper Culture Media (Beijing) Co., Ltd . China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission Silk Road Arbitration Center ("CIETAC Silk Road Center") was awarded the typical case of "the Belt and Road Initiative" Legal Service Innovation, and Jiang Hongmei, Deputy Secretary General of CIETAC Silk Road Center, was invited to attend the meeting.

This case is a copyright infringement dispute between a famous French software company and an enterprise in Shaanxi, which was jointly mediated by CIETAC Silk Road Center and the Intellectual Property Tribunal of the Intermediate People's Court of Xi'an City  for the first time by means of "mixed resolution". This is the first international commercial dispute case in Shaanxi Province jointly mediated by the court and foreign-related arbitration institution, with concept of "mixed resolution" and attempted the collaboration of the litigation and arbitration and the link-up between litigation and mediation. It is a typical demonstration of implementing the “Opinion Concerning the Establishment of the Belt and Road International Commercial Dispute Resolution Mechanism and Institutions”  of the CPC Central Committee, and provides successful experience for further exploring innovative practices of foreign-related dispute resolution. The case was also successfully selected as one of the top ten highlights of the construction of "the Belt and Road Initiative" in Shaanxi in 2022, which has a positive impact on further improving China's foreign-related legal service mechanism, promoting the economic and trade development of "the Belt and Road Initiative", enhances the confidence of the rule of law of overseas investors, laying a good foundation for Xi 'an to create an preferred area of international commercial dispute resolution that radiates "the Belt and Road Initiative".
