On 3 November, 2022, Jiang Hongmei, Assistant to the Secretary-General of CIETAC Silk Road Arbitration Center (“Silk Road Center”), Gao Shan, Minister of the Legal Affairs Department of the China Council for the Promotion of the International Trade Xi’an Sub-Council (“CCPIT Xi’an Sub-Council), and Wang Junming, Vice Minister of CCPIT Xi’an Sub-Council, made the visit to Xixian New Area and the Airport New City of Xixian New Area (“Airport New City”) and surveyed on the service for foreign trade enterprises. Leng Yanxun, the full-time Deputy Director of the Free Trade Zone Office of Xixian New Area, Li Bei, the Minister of the Innovation Department of the Free Trade Zone Office, and Chang Shaoqing, the Deputy Director of the Free Trade Zone Office of Airport New City, received the visit and accompanied the survey.

The delegation visited the Belt and Road Legal Service Innovation Center of Xixian New Area, the Xixian Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the Airport New City Pavilion and the Airport New City Government Services Hall, and entered into further discussion and communication focusing on exerting aggregated advantages, jointly establishing the service platform and optimizing the business environment of the airside free trade zone.

During the discussion, Jiang Hongmei briefed on the historical development, case management business, regional liaison layout and the advantages of providing international arbitration services of CIETAC and emphasized on the series of work completed by the Silk Road Center, which located on the Northwest of China to serve the development of the Free Trade Zone. She also noted that arbitration is the main way to resolve cross-border commercial disputes and choosing the appropriate arbitration institution is crucial for enterprises to protect their rights and interests. As the model area of open cooperation in Qinchuangyuan Airside Industry Cluster District,  Airport New City has utilized the advantage of international aviation hub and gathered plenty of premium airside industries and projects. CIETAC looks forward to working with the Xixian New Area and Airport New City Free Trade Zone Office to embrace the market, pay attention to the demand of trade and industry demand for foreign-related legal services, enhance the ability of enterprises in risk identification and prevention and resolution, explore on the methods of dispute resolution, and contribute to the high-quality development of the airside model area.
