On 1 December 2020, the China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization Legal Service Committee Xi`an Center, the Belt and Road International Lawyers Association Xi`an Center, “the Belt and Road Initiatives” Center for International Commercial Dispute Resolution at Xi'an and the National Biosafety Evidence Foundation had their unveiling ceremony (“Ceremony”) in Xi`an. The event was jointly held by Ministry of Justice, provincial government of Shaanxi, municipal government of Xi`an, provincial department of justice of Shaanxi and Xi`an JiaoTong University. Mr. Wang Chengjie, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (“CIETAC”) presented at the Ceremony on invitation.

On the Ceremony, Mr. Shi Hansheng, Director General of Bureau of Public Legal Services Administration read out the Approval on the Establishment of Three Centers in the Belt and Road Demonstration Zone for International Commercial Legal Services (“Demonstration Zone”) in Xi`an. Mr. Xiong Xuanguo, Vice Minister of Justice, Mr. Li Mingyuan, Mayor of municipal government of Xi`an, Mr. Wang Shuguo, President of Xi`an JiaoTong University respectively delivered addresses. Vice Minister Xiong Xuanguo and Mr. Liang Gui, Member of the Standing Committee of Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee, Standing Deputy Governor unveiled the “Three Centers and One Foundation” together.

CIETAC Silk Road Arbitration Center, Supreme People’s Court’s 6th Circuit Court, Supreme People’s Court’s 2nd International Commercial Court and Liaison Office of the Hong Kong SAR Government in Shaanxi were invited as special guests to attend the Ceremony. The establishment of “Three Centers and One Foundation” was an important step in fulfilling “Belt and Road Initiatives” and providing guarantee of rule of law and legal services for the construction of it. Via CIETAC Silk Road Center, CIETAC will continually boost the construction of the Demonstration Zone, provide high-quality, efficient and convenient arbitration service for Shaanxi and “the Belt and Road Initiatives” enterprises’ international economic and trade cooperation, and building an international, legalized, convenient business environment with relevant sides.

After the Ceremony, leaders and guests attended the Ceremony visited the Demonstration Zone together.
