On November 1, 2016, CIETAC Deputy Secretary-General Leng Haidong visited the Japan Commercial Arbitration Association (JCAA) and exchanged views with Mr. Tatsuya Nakamura, Member of the Board and General Manager of the Arbitration Department of JCAA on issues including strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the two institutions, promoting the development of arbitration in China and Japan, and providing better dispute resolution service for enterprises of both countries.

Leng gave a brief on the Fourth China Arbitration Week and the China Arbitration Summit successfully held by CIETAC in September and invited the JCAA to participate in CIETAC events in the future. Mr. Tatsuya Nakamura expressed his appreciation for the invitation and made an introduction on Japanese arbitration and the Arbitration Festival held this year. He invited CIETAC to visit Japan more often to participate in Japanese arbitration events, share experiences of CIETAC in arbitration and promotion, and strengthen Japanese enterprises’ understanding of arbitration as a dispute resolution method so as to provide better service to the parties.
